Good Old Lower East Side is an organization that has been dedicated to providing crucial support services to residents of the LES while educating them on their rights within the community for over four decades. From housing counseling, workforce training, and healthy aging programming to campaigns focused on bettering the lives of New Yorkers and creating opportunities within the community for their engagement, GOLES is a one stop shop for all the people of the LES searching for empowerment.
Clients and local residents are encouraged to join our membership where members learn to find their voice in the community through GOLES’ leadership development & political education trainings designed to build on skills critical to the fight against our oppression. As a member of GOLES, you have a seat at the table. That positions you as a stakeholder with decision making power on the issues, campaigns and programs run at the organization. This is intended to create an awareness and understanding of the root causes of the issues affecting us the most. You also get to enjoy member exclusive events and perks.
GOLES will fight alongside you as you work to create the change you wish to see in our community, our city and our world as a whole.
